The Wild's longest -- and likely most difficult -- road trip comes early in the year, spanning a franchise-record seven consecutive road games and a lot of ground from Oct. 29 through Nov. 11. Wild will play three home games at Xcel Energy Center
The Wild will play the Jets and the Stars most often, with five contests apiece. Consequently, the Jets will visit Xcel Energy Center the most of any team, with three trips. One place the Wild ran into trouble last season was on the tail end of back-to-back games, of which it played 15 sets. It will again have 15 back-to-backs during the coming season, with eight taking place entirely on the road. On the flip side, Minnesota's longest homestand of the season comes in March, with five games in St. Paul. This stretch includes games against both New York teams as well as two Central Division rivals.
The 2019 NHL All-Star Game will take place on Jan. 26 at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. Popular Eastern Conference visits to Xcel Energy Center include defending Stanley Cup champion Washington (Nov. 13), Detroit (Jan. 12), New York Rangers and Pittsburgh (Dec. 31). At Xcel Energy Center on Saturday, Oct. 6, hosting the Western Conference champion Vegas Golden Knights at 7 p.m. Minnesota plays seven of its first 10 games of the season on home ice (Oct. 4-27). Minnesota’s schedule will consist of seven games, three of which come at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. One of the games away from St. Paul will be played at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, home of Minnesota’s AHL affiliate – the Iowa Wild.
